Founded in 2002, the Great Basin Film Society is a non-profit group of movie lovers whose mission is to complement Reno's film scene with art, independent and classic films. We are continually striving to provide the residents of the Reno/Sparks metropolitan area with opportunities to view films that 1) have never been shown in the Washoe County area; 2) have not appeared in theaters for many years; or 3) are not readily available on home video.
