Estefan conducts work in various political fields at the city, state, and national level. His support of political candidates includes but it's not limited to:
Senator John Kerry, D-MA; LtGov. Garamendi, D-CA; Attorney General Jerry Brown, D-CA; Todd Gloria, D-CA (San Diego City Council- 2008 election pending); Senator Hillary Clinton, D-NY (Presidential Campaign- 2008 election pending).
He briefly provided support to the Puerto Rican party "Puertorriqueños por Puerto Rico", but withdrew his support after a couple months. No reason was provided.
He's an avid blogger in various online publications. In the New York Times website his screen-name is "gargost". In the Washington Post he uses "EGGArgost". Other websites are Politico.com; HuffingtonPost.com. He was barred from El Nuevo Dia, but the reason is unknown.

Having been born into a Seventh-day Adventist home, Estefan was taught to think of others before himself. It is then to be expected that he would dedicate his art to helping others. Mr. Gargost attributes his use of art for philanthropic purposes to Mrs. Noi Chudnoff- a philanthropist and businesswoman from Washington, DC. She died unexpectedly in November 2007 and was mourned by all those whose lives she touched. A former employee, Jeffrey Johnson said: "She was dedicated to almost everybody else but herself. You could walk into the store and she was a unique soul, she was very passionate with all her customers. She talked to everybody and got to know everybody."

Estefan is a Noncommissioned Officer in the US Army. He's been enlisted since 1998. Except for nearly four years in the 3rd US Infantry, The Old Guard, and elite unit, there are no other known tours of duty.
