- Gadabout Serene Adventures, LLC was founded in the summer of 2004 to provide a travel and entertainment option we found missing from Central Oregon. Our parents had settled down in Central Oregon after participating in 10 years of Snow-Birding between Oregon, where we had been raised, and Yuma, Arizona where the weather is always warm! In Yuma, where there is a significant senior population, there was always a social gathering or an event that they could be involved with that offered both entertainment and social activities. Here in Central Oregon we felt there was a need for an organization that enjoyed getting out and being active, and that paid attention to the unique wants and needs of the growing senior population in Central Oregon, thus the beginning of the Gadabouts.
