ABOUT DAN ROHLING, CFSP
Rohling has been licensed as a funeral director and embalmer for over twenty years and has worked for funeral establishments averaging from 35 funerals per year to those handling as many as 350 per month. Rohling states: "all of which were quite interesting and enlightening for one who is a died-in-the-wool consumer advocate."
He also worked for the California State Cemetery Board as a field representative and investigator inspecting crematories and cemeteries until the Board's demise. During Rohling's tenure with the Board he answered consumer complaints and had the authority to write citations and levy fines to those businesses found to be in violation of the Cemetery/Crematory rules and laws of the State of California. Rohling did write citations and levy fines, in fact, two in-depth investigations resulted in the State of California assuming the day to day activities of two privately owned cemeteries. The responsibility for running these two cemeteries (on a daily basis) was subsequently assumed by Rohling.
Rohling is licensed as an embalmer and funeral director in two states (initially licensed in 1980) and all licenses are current. He is certified as a crematory operator as well as a funeral director/manager in the state of California. "I have worked in all aspects of funeral service with special attention to embalming. I have embalmed well over a thousand human bodies and have directed hundreds of funeral services and have been directly involved (hands on) with disinterments and I am thoroughly familiar with the operation of cemetery and cremation facilities."
