Connecting Entrepreneurs and Investors

Our nation-wide online network for investors and entrepreneurs is one of the largest, with 700 investors and 20,000 entrepreneurs.

Investors can search for deals in their regional area or based on their investment preferences (size of investment, type of deal, etc.)

Entrepreneurs can post a business plan, video pitch, and more.

Preparing Entrepreneurs to Seek Funding

Without third-party deal screening and education about the funding process, most entrepreneurs can't look objectively at their business to make the critical adjustments needed to become "fundable" or "pitch-ready".

Additionally, many entrepreneurs who have never looked for funding don't know how and where to find investors and lenders, and how to navigate through the funding process.

We offer Venture Consulting services to help entrepreneurs focus their preparation efforts on the precise documents, planning, and fundraising efforts that will help them acquire needed funds they are looking for.

Building Community

FundingUniverse enjoys interfacing with the entrepreneurial and investment community as much as possible. We offer two types of events:

LivePitch

Come pitch your idea to a panel of local experts, to get feedback on presentation, or recruit/hire, or to build partnerships. If you do not wish to present come and be a part of the audeince and network with others entreprenuers and businesses.

Pitching Companies

FundingUniverse will select several companies to present on-stage at the LivePitch event. The presenting companies must agree to present in front of a panel of experts and a live audience.

Panel of Angel Investors

A panel of experts will judge the LivePitch presentations.

Audience Participation

Attendees in the audience will receive $100 of play "Monopoly" money that they will use to "invest" in their favorite company pitch. After all of the presentations, the audience will place their monopoly cash into their favorite LivePitch presentation.

Selecting the Winning Presenters

After all of the presentations, 2 winning presenters will be announced based on the amount of "monopoly cash" that is "invested" (one by the panel of expert investors and the other by the audience).

SpeedPitch

SpeedPitching is the single most effective and efficient way for entrepreneurs to pitch to multiple investors. Simply apply to a SpeedPitching event in your area—we’ll award the top 10 plans the opportunity to pitch.

If selected, you’ll give a 4-minute pitch to a small group of angel investors. There’s a short Q&A session, time for investors to write out their comments, then you’re on to the next group. It’s a fun, fast-paced format similar to speed dating, and the results are impressive.

SpeedPitching puts you in front of up to 30 accredited investors allowing you to pitch your ideas, make connections, and get the funding you need. You’ll enjoy lunch at the event and the opportunity to make appointments with investors for follow-up meetings. Funding Universe hosts dozens of SpeedPitching events across the country every year.
