The All Fundraising Companies Directory is operated by LarMar Enterprises, Inc. which first entered the fundraising market in early 1996 with the publication of 'LarMar's Fundraising Resource Guide', a hard copy fundraising resource directory. As soon as the directory was published, it was apparent that a hard copy directory was not sufficient - that it was out of date almost as soon as it was published. This realization resulted in the opening of LarMar's first Internet fundraising resource site in July 1996.
In 1997, LarMar created the All Fundraising Companies Directory to provide a comprehensive collection of fundraising companies on the Internet. Companies are listed by product category and geographic location with separate categories for companies located outside the U.S. and Canada. Previously, many of the smaller sites that offer exciting fundraising options could not be found in the various search engines and directories because they were just too far down the search results to be of any use. The Directory provides free listings for most fundraising companies and a single source of fundraising options for groups of all sizes and types.
LarMar also operates the Fundraising Ideas & Products Center which limits its listings to 100 of the top fundraising companies in the U.S. and Canada. This limitation ensures the quality of sites listed, maintains the value of the listings and leads for current subscribers, and prevents the volume of responses to requests for information from overwhelming the individual requesters. A new company cannot be added until an existing listing is removed.
