- Once upon a time, after a late night out, I came home with two friends and as usual, was starving. I found that I had bananas in my kitchen, and promptly peeled one to eat. I offered one to each of my friends. One friend happily took the offered banana. The other responded with "No thanks. I find bananas to be functional, but not delicious." Hmm, I beg to differ. In my mind, bananas are the ultimate in functional-ness (filling me up when hungry) and delicious-ness (tasty, mmm). But his comment stuck with me. In fact, I came to believe that everything—people, places, food, design, etc—can be judged on some scale of functional-ness and delicious-ness. In honor of this friend, I dedicate this website to all things functional and/or delicious.
