- Fryer Company was founded in 1960 by Frank E. Fryer to service optical instruments and systems. In 1962, a partnership with Nikon Instruments was established which added the capability to provide complete solutions based on world-class microscopes and optical instrumentation. The company experienced significant growth during the 1960’s and 1970’s and expanded geographically in the 1980’s with the establishment of sales and service operations in Minnesota and Ohio.
