- Freedom Diesels was started by Dan Wales in November 2001. This dealership is for the sole purpose of selling heavy duty pickups powered by diesel engines. Dan has an extensive mechanical background with diesel fleet service vehicles. He also has considerable experience with high horsepower toys like his 320 hp Turbo powered VW sand rail, many motorcycles and classic cars. This knowledge is extremely valuable when ascertaining the condition of trucks we want to add to our stable of beauties. My name is Patrick Ahearn. I recently teamed up with Dan bringing with me many years of experience in the auto, motorcycle and the diesel truck business. Dan gets the trucks ready for sale, and takes care of day to day activities at the dealership which include our diesel only service facility. My duties are the two web sites, www.freedomdiesels.com , www.gooddiesels.com and www.baddiesels.com. I also do the accounting and most of the long distance buying out of state. Dan and myself share the the local buying duties. Fortunately almost all our jobs can be done either one of us.
