- E stablished in 1948, the Framingham Housing Authority seeks to provide economical, safe and sanitary housing to eligible families, as well as elderly, handicapped or disabled persons. In cooperation with Federal, State and Local governments, the Framingham Housing Authority maintains over 1000 units of public housing and administers subsidies in excess of 800 units of private housing. Under the guidance of its five member Board of Commissioners, the Framingham Housing Authority not only is committed to improving the quality of life of residents but also serves as a community resource and partner.
