Foundry is managed and owned by Mr. Jon Ein. Mr. Ein is originally from Washington, DC and started his career as a mergers and acquisitions specialist at DLJ (Credit Suisse) and then SG Warburgs (UBS) in New York. As an investment banker, Mr. Ein worked on many large cross-border mergers and privatizations.
After graduating Harvard Business School in 1994, he started a finance company providing structured debt solutions to the media sector, particularly in film, tv and music.
Specifically, holders of large positions, or companies looking for new equity, have difficulty getting liquidity in a reasonable timeframe without damaging the stock. Investments banks and brokers have a distribution process structured around numerous unfocused, and often poorly researched, marketing of large stock positions.
