Description
As a visionary artist, Jennet Inglis offers a unique synthesis of science, art, and spirituality. No matter whether it is a landscape, a hummingbird, a floral still life, a pet portrait, or an abstract work, Jennet’s intention is to create a “healing tool” for the viewer.
Jennet has been a passionate student of both color and classical drawing since a very early age. Jennet has exhibited and educated nationally and in Europe. For instance, her 1996 solo museum retrospective in Dusseldorf, Germany displayed a wide range of Jennet’s work, including Color Columns, Medicine Mandalas, BODY TEMPLES, and New Mexico landscapes. Jennet was the first American to exhibit in this 100-year-old museum, and she was voted the best artist of the decade.
A native New Yorker now residing in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Jennet Inglis is a graduate of Smith College. Jennet moved to the Southwest in 1987 to deepen her study of Nature and complete two visionary book projects begun in NYC. She has always been passionate about her art inspiring viewers to realize the beauty and grandeur of Nature within themselves. Jennet’s uniquely vibrant work celebrates the inexhaustible fertility of Nature and the human spirit.
