Form-U-Share was developed by author and owner Jon Nevins as the "TVA Blend Package" during his 30 years with the National Fertilizer Center. When the Fertilizer Center was closed there was already a strong and loyal community of users of the software. The technology that was developed during those years at TVA was then transferred to FUS Support, Inc., with Jon retiring from TVA in order to continue giving support to the existing users and gaining many new users along the way. In 2003 we celebrated our 10th anniversary of development, training and technical support for Form-U-Share software as FUS Support, Inc.
Form-U-Share was created to help the fertilizer dealer formulate and blend specific materials using a set of rules and boundaries. Its primary rule is that it must always do business at the lowest possible cost. From here, FUS operates within a set of boundaries, such as giving the farmer at least the amount of nutrients he ordered and following physical laws to ensure quality mixing, storage, delivery, and spreading. Along with this ability to formulate quickly and accurately, the developers of Form-U-Share have added many other features including printing and customizing reports, managing your inventory and customers, placing orders on hold, chemical reporting and much more.
The future continues to be bright for FUS. We continue to discover and develop ways to make Form-U-Share even easier to set up and use. Also, we are attempting to fill the void left by TVA by assuming a more important role in educating new people to the industry about fertilizer technology. Even the best fertilizer formulation program can't stand alone. It must blend smoothly with the total business. History information, regulatory reporting, inventory control, and agronomic sales tools are important for all users, regardless of business size. We have responded to these needs by continually adding new features. In 2002 we began distribution of our Windows version making formulation even easier. At the end of 2003 we were able to distribute a version that can interface with QuickBooks accounting software. We have made our product user friendly and easy for anyone to learn. Our helpful technical support is available to answer questions and to assist in helping you make the most of Form-U-Share. As we grow, we continue to develop Form-U-Share to meet the growing needs of our customers, making us not only recognizable as the formulation software of choice but a product that changes and grows with the needs of your business.
