Reflexology is a complementary therapy, which works by applying specific pressure to parts of the hands or feet to rebalance the body and help heal the whole person not just the prevailing symptoms. It is a gentle therapy which can be used on children right through to the elderly, and it encourages the body to restore its own healthy natural equilibrium.
My clients generally report an almost immediate improvement in sleep and increased energy during the day, even when these were not the symptoms which prompted their visit!!
Every client is individual in their response to ill health and therefore in their response to treatment. However, after a brief period of 'detox', the course of treatment usually enters the 'healing phase' around session 3 or 4, and after this, they generally have relief from their symptoms, improved sleep patterns, and a greater feeling of wellbeing.
