Description
This site contains both the professional and personal projects of west coast photographer Zachary Folk. The galleries of dogs, cats, and children are samples from some commissions of the past few years. The business section of the site contains galleries and information for professional headshots, stock, and editorial work. The attic is the most personal part of the site, a slowly evolving organization of endless photographic projects. The whole site is dynamic with new content added all the time. The four images above are links to the latest image posts on this site. The shows link shows small flash galleries with a more cohesive theme to the images. The clients section is a password protected area for customers of Zachary Folk Photography.
Web design rose from hobby to necessity when I began my business as a photographer. The site is coded to be very dynamic and images will be updated weekly. I designed this site using HTML, PHP, mySQL, and CSS. Those acronyms all meant nothing to me a few years ago but thanks to the incredible open source programs of pixelpost and coppermine and their great support forums I have been able to design this site exactly how i want. I learned a lot of the finer points and used coding from articles at A List Apart. For more links to resources I used for this site and for my photography check out the links page.
