Description
Ed Weber, a New York State licensed fishing guide (NYS License #3775), was born in New York City and raised on Long Island where he learned to “fish the salt” as a youngster. He developed a love for the outdoors and has carried that passion throughout his life. He is a longtime member of Trout Unlimited and the Federation of Flyfishers.
An avid fly fisherman, Ed has been teaching fly tying for Panorama Outfitters, the Orvis dealer in Rochester, NY, for the past fifteen years. Additionally, he has been an instructor at numerous Panorama Outfitters fly-fishing schools in the Rochester area. Teaching fly-casting, entomology, knot tying, and “reading the water” has been a pleasurable pastime for him. Ed loves sharing his knowledge on the “etiquette of the sport” with his many students.
Ed fishes both salt and fresh waters across North America. His two sons Chris and Peter live in diverse areas of the United States, affording Ed the pleasure of spending time with them and practicing his sport in both the salt waters near Chris on Long Island and Connecticut and the fresh water streams, rivers, lakes and ponds near Peter in Missoula, Montana.
