Title

National Center for Fluoridation

Description

The National Center for Fluoridation Policy & Research started out as a research unit of the School of Dental Medicine, State University of New York at Buffalo, prior to its affiliation with Oral Health America as the National Center for Fluoridation. The Director of the Center is Michael W. Easley, DDS, MPH. The web site functions as an online library, containing archived materials pertaining to community water fluoridation, a primary public health activity and one of the "10 Greatest Public Health Achievements in the 20th Century" according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and the U.S. Surgeon General.

Dr. Easley is solely responsible for placing materials and links on the NCF web site. He does rely, however, on substantial professional guidance from NCF's Executive Advisory Board and NCF's Board of Science, Technology, & Policy Advisors. These Boards are made up of recognized scientists and public health leaders from various academic institutions, public health agencies, and health professional organizations. Dr. Easley also receives tremendous support from NCF's Collaborative Partners, a group of international scientists, elected officials, journalists, engineers, attorneys, and public leaders who freely share tremendous volumes of information with their colleagues at NCF. E-mail correspondence to the NCF and/or its web site should be sent to Dr. Easley at the e-mail address listed on the main page of the site. Written correspondence can also be sent to Dr. Easley at Oral Health America, 410 North Michigan Avenue - Suite 352; Chicago, IL 60611-4211.
