Description
These cards have all been made from pressed flowers, some wild and some cultivated. I grew up in a very rural area of Wales and ever since I can remember, have always been drawn to nature—flowers in particular. Years ago, I pressed flowers in books and I remember thinking then, how wonderful it would be, if one could preserve their colours as they fade with the passing of time.
When I had one of the first designs I made recently reproduced, I felt that I was looking at the original—and that the colours had been captured. This was also the opinion of friends that I showed them to. I then decided to make a set and have them printed—and this is the collection.
Flowers have been written about by many poets over the ages and I chose to borrow some of their words—as no words can better describe flowers than those that have already been written.
