Description
My name is Helen Brazil. I am a freelance florist working from home in Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire. I studied for two years full-time at Lackham Agricultural College and gained the National Certificate/Diploma in Professional Floristry. I also took the opportunity to study Contemporary Floral Design which started me thinking of my own designs. I am currently working towards the intermediate exam for the Society of Floristry which will enable me to teach. I am a member of the Society of Floristry.
My main interest is wedding design. I am able to make traditional or contemporary designs. Sketches of ideas from brides are most welcome - making their ideas and dreams a reality is what it is all about.
In order to create the latest designs, keeping up with new trends is important, although one can gain inspiration from history, Ikebana being one of many. Although traditionally we take our lead from the Netherlands, influences from the USA and Australia are having an impact on today's bride.
