Description
The Montessori School of Florence was established in 1976 and in 1999 moved into the present location at 510 W. Palmetto Street. The Montessori School is a non-for-profit, parent-run entity admitting students of any race, color, nationality or ethnic origin to all the rights and privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students of the school
The school has a population of over 150 students. It currently consists of three Preprimary classrooms, three Lower Elementary classrooms, and two Upper Elementary classrooms.
There are currently more than 3000 Montessori schools in the United States, including approximately 200 sponsored by public school districts. For links to other Montessori sites click here.
