A brief history
I was born in 1981 on the day of the summer solstice (thats June 21 for the uninitiated) in a sleepy, small (not so small or sleepy anymore) town called Bhilai in the Durg district in the state of Chhattisgarh (erstwhile Madhya Pradesh).
For the majority of my early life (first 18 years, to be precise), I was in Bhilai. Apart from a brief stint in Surabaya, Indonesia and a couple of early years, I did my schooling at Delhi Public School, Bhilai.
I enjoyed the love and care of home till 9th grade. In 10th grade, circumstances forced me to move into a hostel, and the following three years of my boarding-school-life (not quite though, since DPS Bhilai didn’t really have proper boarding school facilities) were full of learning and memorable experiences. 11th and 12th grade were my most enjoyable years at school – I had a great group of friends, going through the whole everyone-preparing-for-IIT thing was great, I pretty much saw all good movies that came out those two years, and I had an amazing time in school. Good times.
