- FlashCut CNC was incorporated in 1993 as an outgrowth of a design partnership between Rick Pfaff and Ron Worth. FlashCut's purpose was to design and develop innovative products, which resulted in several widely distributed, patented products. During the development of these products, Rick and Ron were often frustrated with the expense and time required to prototype parts. They felt there must be an easy to use and cost effective alternative to expensive machine tools. This led to the initiation of a two year R&D effort to create a hands on, inexpensive CNC system. As a result of this effort, FlashCut introduced its line of CNC products early in 1997.
