- As a progressive, it’s virtually a guarantee that I’m voting for whomever the Democratic candidate turns out to be in 2008 unless John McCain is running against Tom Daschle. However, I’m putting in my vote right now for the Democrats to look at history and pick their candidate wisely. Here’s one piece of advice: Hillary Clinton is not a viable candidate. As much as I like Hillary, she can’t win the next election unless she’s running against Newt Gingrich and he admits to admiring Hitler and fondling little girls during the last week of the election.
