Fall Line Analytics - Demographics, Analysis, Targeting, GIS

Description

A Fall Line is a geographic boundary between softer coastal plain or alluvial sediments and harder bedrock. The most famous Fall Line is the boundary between the eastern coastal plain and the piedmont of Appalachia, running from New Jersey to Georgia. When rivers cross the Fall Line, meandering coastal plain rivers form rapids and waterfalls as they become more constrained in the hills. These waterfalls were used for power, and became the nucleus for cites such as Trenton, Philadelphia, Washington DC, and Richmond.

David Latterman has over a decade of experience analyzing quantitative and graphical data. Having worked in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors, Latterman has done technical and analytical research on such varied topics as public utility practices, counter-terrorism resource allocation, and hydrogeology. During his career, he has developed quantitative analysis and visual representation skills that form the basis for the vision of Fall Line Analytics.

After moving to the Bay Area from Texas, where he spent several years as a professional geologist, Latterman transferred his skills to the public policy arena. His understanding of politics and quantitative analysis has enhanced his contributions in campaign strategy and statistical analysis for several San Francisco candidates. Latterman has worked as a research analyst for a Bay Area public policy think tank, focusing on both economic and health policy issues. He has also worked as a quantitative analyst for the San Francisco City government.
