- Field’s Jewelers, Redding’s oldest family-owned jewelry store, was established by Carl and Marie Field in 1953. The original store was located next to the Temple Hotel in old downtown Redding. In 1974, we moved into the south end of the Dicker Building in the New Mall, and in 1985, opened a second store in the Mt. Shasta Mall. The two stores were consolidated in 1991 when we relocated to the old Crocker Bank building, now known as the Field Building at the corner of Pine and Yuba streets in Downtown Redding. Their son Ron joined the business in the early ‘70s. In 1974, he married Linda, and she has also taken an active part in the business since then.
