Taipei, Taiwan, 22 June 2004 – First International Computer, Inc (FIC), a world leader in the production of motherboards for over 20 years is proud to announce the introduction of two new motherboards based on the Intel 915G Express Chipset. These motherboards take advantage of the latest architecture, innovative technologies, and high bandwith interfaces to enable the convergence of digital entertainment, as well as enhance bandwith-intensive consumer applications such as high end audio, video editing, and intensive gaming.
Corporate and consumer users, as well as digital convergence enablers will all benefit from the high performance processing and stability offered by these new motherboards. Intel Stable Image Technology simplifies software image management and eliminates the need for IT driver changes and redeployment for approximately 12 months from the launch, drastically reducing training and support costs. In addition, the reason two unique boards are available is to take advantage of flexible memory support with either dual channel DDR2 533/DDR2 400 or DDR400/DDR333 SDRAM memory.
Both motherboards feature the new Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 (Intel GMA 900), which utilizes an innovative graphics core and redesigned 3D engine. This new graphics core combined with Intel’s high performance dual-channel memory interface and can deliver up to twice the graphics performance of previous Intel platforms.
