- …the lifelong tour of global cities continues. In June 2005 I moved to Hong Kong after three and a half challenging years in India. I’m often asked if any place feels like home and this answer is, not really. I was born in Santiago de Chile, but grew up in Sydney, Australia. As a result I speak Spanish with a Chilean accent and English with a decreasingly Australian accent. The sense of “not belonging” has become quite central both to my identity and my understanding of the Christian life.
