Description

About FemJEPP

Feminists for Just & Equitable Public Policy (FemJEPP) is a provincial alliance of equality-seeking women's groups, individual social activists and women with first-hand experience and knowledge of the impacts of policies, programs and services at the local community level, seeking to improve public policy for women and their families in Nova Scotia.

The coalition has developed over the past six years and is founded on feminist inclusive principles and a commitment to collaborative, grassroots' driven processes. FemJEPP has worked hard to incorporate the work from various initiatives around collaborative relationship building and the establishment of meaningful, ongoing consultation. We have developed resources and tools to assist in developing meaningful collaborative relationships between government and those most impacted by public policies and programs (for example, FemJEPP's Framework for An Integrated Approach to Public Policy and Developing An Impact Assessment booklet).

The overall purpose of FemJEPP is to ensure the development of just and equitable public policy for all women in Nova Scotia - to enable social and economic independence for all women and their families.
