Kids Cafe originated in 1989 when two young brothers were caught breaking into the kitchen of a housing project’s community center. When questioned by the police as to why they broke in, the older boy replied, “My brother was hungry.”
ConAgra Foods has opened over 160 new Kids Cafes to date. Each new ConAgra Foods Feeding Children Better Kids Cafe will serve an average of 10 - 12 thousand meals per year to hungry kids.
A program that serves children of all ages in places where the children naturally congregate after school, like Boys & Girls Clubs and community recreation centers.
