- This blog started as a way to document Jeff’s heart condition that almost put him on a heart transplant list. This led to having weight loss surgery to be a better heart transplant candidate. Thanks to weight loss surgery he did not have a heart transplant. We will continue to use Fam5 as a conduit to inform others of what saved Jeff’s life. We enjoy blogging and instead of starting a new blog for other writings we figured we would continue to use Fam5. If you follow our blog you will see that we have no set topics to which we write about. We write about whatever tickles our fancy.
