Fairways Golf Travel was founded in 1990. The company quickly grew into one of the largest golf tour operators in the USA. In the first two years, Fairways was known as Bayside Publishing and simply put ads and phone listings for area golf courses in its beach area publication. As with many successful business ideas, timing is often fortuitous. Coincidentally, in the early '90's, the largest public golf course project in history was beginning in Fairways' home state of Alabama. The company is now approaching nearly two decades of booking packages for the world-famous Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail of 26 resort quality courses throughout Alabama with an estimated quarter of a million rounds!
