Ezer Yoldot Hamercazi is based in Beitar Illit, which is the gate to the Gush Etzion Settlement Bloc. We are located in-between two hostile Arab villages (Husan and Nahalin) and are in close proximity to Bethlehem, it’s refugee camps, and the notorious villages of Beit Jalla and El Khader, (which are bases for Tanzim and Hamas). We are only 7 km away from the Jerusalem neighborhood of Gilo. Our drivers risk their lives daily to bring our hot nutritious meals to those in need even during periods of enemy gunfire and bombs.
We serve the Settlements of Gush Etzion and the cities of Beitar Illit and Beit Shemesh, areas populated by many large families who live below the poverty level or have socio-economic difficulties because it provides them affordable housing.
Ezer Yoldot Hamercazi is THE ADDRESS turned to by The Departments of Social Services of the settlements in the Gush Etzion Bloc and the cities of Beitar, and Beit Shemesh to assist families in crisis and need. Applicants are referred either by one of the social service agencies or a community Rabbi, though no Jew is refused service for lack of religious affiliation.
