Experience: Before moving to Charlotte, Dr. Jaben served as Chief Resident of the residency program and a clinical instructor on the faculty at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. In 1982, Dr. Jaben established his private practice in Charlotte (formerly Laurel Eye Associates) and merged practices with Charlotte Eye Ear Nose & Throat Associates in 1997. He performed the first NO stitch cataract surgery in Charlotte in 1989 and has performed over 20,000 cataract operations in his career. Dr. Jaben is one of two medical directors at the TLC Charlotte Laser Eye Center since its opening in 1997 where he has performed more than 6000 LASIK laser vision correction procedures using the excimer laser for the correction of nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism.
