Melrene Trade Exponents and Marketing Innovations (Melrene Trade Expo) started its entry into the events and trade exhibit organizing scene using the company name Events Asia. It was a spin-off from its former mother company, Inasol Enterprises, Inc., the latter being engaged in garments manufacturing and subcontracting with notable and veritable local fashion brands as its clients. Among these brands are Kashieca, Cinderella, Sari-Sari, Anonymous, Props by ABS-CBN, Bobson, Pink Soda, Blue Soda, and Penshoppe.
Melrene's events manager has been a freelance merchandising agent of Inasol Enterprises. All the abovementioned clients were his accounts with Inasol. He enjoys the trust of these accounts as well as the president of Inasol when he chanced upon an offer from Bonifacio Land Incorporated, affiliate and subsidiary of First Pacific, the same company that has majority ownership of PLDT and Metro Pacific.
The time was auspicious and the event was grand. It was the opening of Bonifacio Stopover, a pitstop for motorists within the expanse of The Fort. It is a commercial hub comprised of a Shell gas station, Starbucks Coffee, Jollibee, Henlin and other restaurants. The challenge: to put up a night market adjacent to the newly opened hub on the grand opening night.
