Eurotrip.com has a new owner. I’d like to introduce, Wandrian, Inc, a software development firm based in Boston, Massachussetes, specializing in online travel-related initiatives. Wandrian is the Old English term for "Traveller". The Wandrian team is made up of a diverse group of experienced technology and business people; all with one thing in common- i.e. a love of travel. All have back-packed and travelled the rails of Europe at some point in their life before going off and getting "real" jobs at places like Travel Cuts, Council Travel, Student Advantage, AT&T and the Pink Palace (OK, maybe that last wasn't so real, but I’m sure it was fun) before joining to form Wandrian. Amongst other things Wandrian own RailConnection.com and Railpass Express.
I’ve met most of the guys at Wandrian and I can vouch for the fact that everyone involved, LOVES THIS SITE.
Wandrian's goal for Eurotrip is to create the most vibrant, interactive and useful resource on the web dedicated to European travel and all it has to offer. I’m very positive about this change and am looking forward to being involved in some major site improvements. I’ll be here as ‘Editor in Chief’ and my main role will be to advise on the best ways to improve the site while making sure we keep its ethos and values on track. This for example means we’ll be keeping the editorial side separate from the ‘sell you stuff’ sections and advertising. Going forward we’ll have a new look site soon and we’ll be working on improved travel material, software and travel deals for members. You might even see the long promised Eurotrip T-shirt make an appearance :-)
