Description
My name is Dada Nabhaniilananda. I am a monk, a musician, a writer and a meditation teacher with the spiritual movement Ananda Marga – “The Path of Bliss”. Creative pursuits have always been a source of joy for me, but through meditation I have discovered a still deeper inspiration. Inevitably I find myself moved to write and sing about the wonderful experiences I’ve had, and the ideas and people I’ve come to love.
One great inspiration for me has been Rabindranath Tagore, one of India’s greatest creative geniuses. His ideal was to become a pure instrument for the Supreme, allowing the Creator of all Music to play through him. I’d love to become such an instrument. I hope that when you read or listen to my work you can get a glimpse of that feeling.
On this site you will find music, chord charts to my songs, and background information on the musicians, artists and writers. I will also include other music and books I particularly love and would like to recommend. There is a press package for journalists needing information and we publish a newsletter from the site with interviews with musicians and writers, a humour section, and reviews of new recordings and publications that we are featuring.
