About the Erotic Awards
This is the Leydig Trust's most prestigous of philanthropic and fund-raising project, staged by a team of devoted volunteers with Dr Tuppy Owens at the helm. The Erotic Awards is well established In our 13th year, and evolves to match the times in which we live. We are the only awards of our kind in the world.
Aims
Honour talented people, which might be for the first time in their lives, despite fame. The judges aim to compensate for the prudishness of the mass media and promote the value of people who have chosen to make a living with their bodies.
Act as a much-needed catalyst. The most talented people from different areas of the sex world get to know one another, influence each other and work together, newly inspired and with renewed confidence. One finalist started an erotic show (The Whoopee Club) and another began The London School of Striptease, eventually becoming one of the teachers at the International Workshop Festival, sponsored by the Arts Council. Marilyn Jaye Lewis began an Erotic Writers Forum. Alan from WhatsYours.com met his wife and they set up Coffee Cake & Kink together, Kay of Goodgrrls Agency got a book deal.
