- On July 17, 2005, I moved to Phoenix, Arizona for a job promotion. Prior to my move, I was living in Pantego, Texas (a suburb of Dallas). For the first time in my adult life, I am not a resident of Texas. At heart, I will always be a Texan. Though I love Arizona because I love the desert. It's such a magical place where beauty is subtle. Plus I've always felt that being hot is better than being cold. (And my first summer in Arizona has been hot!)
