Laserbeam Hair Removal Centers had its beginnings in the early 1970's when David Hardee, a prospective electrolysis patient, began investigating permanent hair removal options available to consumers. In his quest, David developed an interest in the electrology profession and in 1980 he pursued a career as a professional electrologist by enrolling at Bay Area College of Electrolysis in San Jose, California.
After graduation, David returned to Mobile, Alabama, and opened his first business as a practicing electrologist. He was first in his area to offer the blend method as well as multi-needle galvanic when it was resurrected in computerized form. David was proficient in the Hinkel Blend technique and Clareblend Inc. chose his clinic as one of several test beds for the development of new electrology epilators. Field trials led to the birth of several new products known throughout the industry for high standards of reliability, abundant features, and logical design.
In 1992, David moved to Atlanta, Georgia, and obtained experience as a surgical and medical assistant at Dermatology Associates of Atlanta assisting physicians during hair transplant procedures and a wide variety of laser therapy treatments. This experience helped prepare David for the soon to be emerging world of laser hair removal. In 1996, David returned to Mobile and resurrected his electrolysis practice under the name Electrolysis Works.
