Dr. Getchonis attended Cornell University, is a graduate of SUNY Buffalo and is a member of the OKU Dental Honor Society. The Doctor and dental team have completed the Center for Professional Development Mastery Program. This is a unique 3 year commitment with fewer than 5% of the dentists in America participating. He is a member of the Tri-County Dental Society, Sixth District Dental Society and past President of the Board of Directors, American Dental Association and The American Academy of Laser Dentistry.
Where the State of New York requires 45 hours of continuing education every 3 years, Dr. Getchonis routinely completes over 100 hours each year. He has studied Occlusion and temporomandibular joint dysfunction under Clifford Fox, Rudolph Slavick and Peter Dawson; Orthodontics with Walter Doyle, Cosmetic Dentistry and Endodontics at the Eastman Dental Center, Laser Dentistry with the Academy of Laser Dentistry.
