In 1989, Robert Savitt and Chris Siddall formed Endoscopy Support Services, Inc. (ESS®) to address growing needs in the endoscopy field. The implementation of the concept, to provide a viable alternative to the major endoscope manufacturers, won immediate endorsement within the medical and veterinary communities. Now, years after its formation, ESS® continues to uphold the mandate which led to its founding and to have a significant influence in the transformation of the field of endoscopy.
