Well, I took the leap and decided to give Ubuntu a go. To be honest, it wasn’t a leap, more like a “Fuck it”. I got Windows 7 RC DVD at last, put it in, and…VIOLA! It didn’t work. What the shit? Closer inspection shows the DVD was bugged, great. Nice job there. Every time I used “Explore” on the DVD it’d fuck up and crash explorer, so I opened my faithful case of disks, selected “Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope” (That’s Ubuntu 9.04), and proceeded to boot install.
