Elder-Services.org offers information and services for the elderly in Okaloosa
Title
Providing Senior Care at Home since 1971
Description
Elder Services of Okaloosa County was established in 1971 as the Okaloosa County Council on Aging. While the Emerald Coast is a popular vacation destination for tourists because of the mild winters, the summer gulf breeze, and diverse recreational activities, those same reasons (along with the 2 major military bases in the area) and the low cost of living make Okaloosa County a wonderful senior living and retirement area.
We are recognized as the LEAD AGENCY in Okaloosa County for state and federal elderly care / senior care programs. We are a non-profit provider specializing in senior care in Okaloosa County, and we've been doing what we do for over 30 years... that's a lot longer than the for-profit elderly care franchises in the area.
We work with the Northwest Florida Area Agency on Aging, the Florida Department of Elder Affairs, and various local and federal agencies under a wide array of programs to provide needed services for residents age 60 and over. For people under 60 who require our help, services are available with referral from their case management agency.
