- El Nopalito, ( The Little Cactus), has long been my proprietorship name for every business venture in which I've been involved. It comes from the idea that when I was 10 years old and living near the Concho River in my home town of San Angelo, Texas, I would take my Daisy Red Ryder B-B gun, in my "army" pack filled with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, candy bars, and anything else I could stuff in it, along with my army canteen and machete, and head to the river for a day of exploring and fun. I was at the river almost every two or three days during the spring, summer and early fall.
