The Edison Steinmetz Center: Step into our Past to Look into the Future The Center serves as a workshop for those interested in seeing how technological advances have evolved. Its programs have attracted scientists, engineers, and others from around the globe, student groups from the area, as well as GE Edison Engineering Program Students, Interns and Co-ops. Visitors find that, here in the "Original Electric City" of Schenectady, the spirits of Edison and Steinmetz are alive.
