- BACKGROUND
- Electric Communications, Inc. has been established to meet the needs of the ex-offender and hard to serve population that are not being sufficiently met. We currently hold the Parolee Employment Program (PEP) Grant for Fresno County through the State of California Department of Corrections. The PEP Grant is for a total of five years, culminating in 2010. Through the PEP Grant we offer Initial Assessment, Orientation, Counseling, Workshops, Job Search Skills Upgrades, Job Leads and other related services for approximately 60 participants per month. We average 28 or more placements with viable long term employment each month. We offer six (6) months grant mandated follow-up and an additional eighteen (18) months of follow-up for a total of two (2) years of follow-up services to insure the success of each client that we place in employment. We offer six (6) months of grant mandated follow-up for all clients, whether they are employed or not, and an additional (18) months of follow-up for a total of two (2) years of follow-up services to insure that each of our clients has a sufficient opportunity to gain viable employment and successfully integrate back into society. We are focusing, with this RFP, on the Gang and/or Gang Wanna-be/Associate Population. We have direct referral to other programs that will give added assistance in areas that we do not cover. We are willing to work with all other service providers to make this program a success.
