About
EasyDefine was initially developed with the intention of speeding up the time people spend looking up vocabulary words. With this website there is no need to spend countless hours looking up definitions. All one has to do is copy and paste the word list and all the words will be extracted and defined. Definitions are taken from Princeton's WordNet 3.0. EasyDefine is coded in PHP, AJAX and javascript (jQuery), using a MySQL database to store word definitions. Graphic design was done via Adobe Photoshop CS3, and CSS.

Additional Information

Excerpted from the website:

Developers
EasyDefine was the brainchild of Prabhav Jain. He got so tired of spending excessive time looking up the definitions of many words that he developed the idea and code for an automatic and quick dictionary. He launched EasyDefine in 2009, in association with Chris Choi, while the two were in Torrey Pines High School. The programming (PHP, AJAX, Javascript (JQuery), MySQL, HTML), interface, and graphics scheme (via CSS) is done by Prabhav Jain and the graphics (via Photoshop) by Chris Choi. Currently, the site is maintained by Prabhav.
