- My name is Kristine Steenbergh. I am a PhD student (or AiO in Dutch) at Utrecht University in The Netherlands, and I am writing a thesis on the cultural dynamics of gender and revenge in English early modern drama. I examine the ways in which stage plays partake in early modern debates over revenge, how and why the drama shapes and produces particular discourses of masculinity, femininity and revenge.
