- About the EAC
- The East African Community is a regional organization, comprising of Partner States Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda with its headquarters in Arusha, United Republic of Tanzania. The Heads of State signed the Treaty for the Establishment of the East African Community in Arusha, Tanzania on 30th November 1999. The long-term aim of the community is to achieve political, economic, and social integration. The emphasis on the economic and various initiatives has already been taken, mainly in the form of agreement to exchange information on working practices, etc. There is substantial goodwill and commitment to the EAC and its objectives on the part of Partner States.
