Anyway, the world's biggest productivity problem is the inefficient use of capital (money). Inefficient use of money amplifies all other forms of waste.
The second biggest productivity problem is language learning. Everybody needs to learn at least one language and we are now in a period of the biggest cross-cultural migrations in history. There are many simple things that computers can do to help. So what?
For instance, software dictionaries don't let you tag things you look up so that you can quickly review and reinforce your knowledge later. They also don't have a 'learning definition' so that simple drill and practice questions can be provided without using the target word. These two simple ideas would already dramatically improve language learning efforts with almost no additional coding or work.
One of Namke's quantified goals is to improve the productivity of language learning efforts. For Canada alone, the goal is to improve the productivity of language learning efforts by 400,000 man years per year.
